China on Friday firmly opposed to U.S. Vice President Mike Pence's accusations against China's domestic and foreign policies and said any malicious slander on China is futile.
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence delivered a speech at a think tank on the evening of Oct. 4, claiming that China interferes in U.S. internal affairs and elections and making accusations against China's domestic and foreign policies.
"The relevant speech made unwarranted accusations against China's domestic and foreign policies and slandered China by claiming that China meddles in U.S. internal affairs and elections. This is nothing but speaking on hearsay evidence, confusing right and wrong and creating something out of thin air," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said.
