Susan St. Denis is a master’s student at Tsinghua University, where she specializes in Chinese politics and foreign policy. Her research examines the role of film and media in diplomacy, with a focus on how cultural industries contribute to both international engagement and the shaping of national identity. Before beginning her graduate studies, Susan worked as a journalist and cultivated a deep appreciation for storytelling as a tool for cross-cultural dialogue. Having first traveled to China as a high school student, she brings a longstanding commitment to advancing U.S.–China relations and hopes to promote more constructive engagement between the two countries, particularly through collaboration in the global media and entertainment sectors.
