Franz Jessen is a Danish economist and diplomat with deep expertise in EU-Asia relations. He served as EU Ambassador to the Philippines and Vietnam and held senior roles in Beijing and Brussels. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Virginia Tech and an M.A. in Social Sciences from Odense University.
