Mohamed Ibrahim Hafez is a researcher at the Centre for Policy, Citizenship and Society at Nottingham Trent University, specializing in trade policy, economic integration, and the geopolitics of the MENA region. Beyond academia, he consults with think tanks, businesses and government institutions on policy and strategy. Previously, he served as a Policy Advisor at Egypt's Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, as well as a Corporate Finance Analyst at Qatar National Bank. Hafez holds an MSc in Political Economy of Development from SOAS, University of London, where he was awarded the Chevening Scholarship. He has undertaken research fellowships at globally renowned institutions, including University of Cambridge, European University Institute, and Asia Global Institute.
