President Donald Trump sent Central Intelligence Agency Director Mike Pompeo on a secret trip to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang over Easter, according to people familiar with the matter.
Mr. Pompeo, whom Mr. Trump tapped last month to serve as secretary of State, met with Mr. Kim to discuss the terms of an upcoming summit between the leaders of the two countries, which is aimed at ending North Korea’s nuclear-weapons program, these people said.
